About the Creative Coding
The beauty of coding is its versatility and opportunity to build something personal. The Creative Coding class focuses on students’ abilities to express their imagination and create unique projects based on their personal experiences. Students are shown an example of a basic final project and encouraged to design their own unique coding solutions with an application of English language, design, math, and coding principles.

About the Geometry & Coding
This course is grounded on the Common Core Geometry Math Standards for K-5th grade students. It focuses on helping students engage with physical making of lines, shapes, and angles that can be transferred into OctoStudio (block coding platform) to be animated. This is a unique course that helps studnts explore, identify, and apply geometry in their lives.
General course structure will be 30-min of hands-on activities and 30-min of coding.
Course Requirements
No coding experience needed
iPad/Tablet
OctoStudio App (like Scratch)
All other materials are included.
Course Focuses
Geometry: Lines, Shapes, Angles, Scale, Coordinate Planes
Coding: Introduction to block coding, simple animation creation
Design: Identifying and utilizing geometric shapes to design people, animals, and objects
Grades: 2nd-5th

About the Circuits & Coding
Connecting coding to the outside world
Exposure to conductivity, circuits, and sensors
Build physical projects that connect with block code
This is the first step to helping students understanding how computers work! Makey Makey helps students learn how computer sensors and code work together.
Students will build homemade electronic musical instruments and game controllers. We'll use material like cardboard, conductive tape, playdoh, and more!
Course Requirements
Recommended to start with Creative Coding
Chromebook or Laptop for Scratch
